Trigradsko Zhdrelo is a beautiful gorge on the Trigradska River in the Western Rhodopes. It is situated at 1.5km north of Trigrad village, Smolyan region. The gorge is narrow with deeply cut marbles up to 350m from the river-bed. In the beginning of the gorge the river is wandering away in the Dyavolskoto Garlo cave and appears again after 500m underground road in the rocky river-bed. The gorge was declared for tourist landmark in 1963 on an area of 314 hectares. The road to Devin goes through Trigrdsko Zhdrelo.
Buynovskoto Zhdrelo is a natural landmark which is rivaling Trigrad canyon on beauty. It was declared protected territory in 1971 aiming to preserve the gorge of Buynovska River in the Western Rhodopes. Buynovski canyon spreads on a territory of 608.60 hectares.
Dyavolskoto Garlo (Devil's Throat) is an abyss cave in the Western Rhodopes. It is situated in the Trigrdsko Zhdrelo. Trigradska River is winding through underground galleries of the cave. The most impressing of all is the Buchashtata Zala (Roaring Hall) with the three waterfalls. The tallest of the three is 41m. The cave is formed in the second half of the Ice Age. It was provided with all utilities for visitors. Dyavolskoto Garlo was declared natural landmark in 1963 and is a tourist sight.
Smolyanskite Ezera (Smolyanskite Lakes) is a group of three soil creep lakes in the Rhodope Mountains. They were situated one above the other and were formed in the great Smolyansko landslide. The second lake is the biggest spreading on 1.75 hectares and 4m deep. The lake is situated at a height of 1,500m and one third of its area was taken by peat stratum which is 1m thick. In summer time the peat stratum is covered with overgrowth grass. The Smolyanskite Ezera were declared natural landmark in 1982 on an area of 49.50 hectares.
Yagodinskata cave is complex multistory system in the Western Rhodopes. It is 7,500m long and was formed near the end of Buynovska River southwest of Yagodina village, Smolyan region. The cave was formed in the Ice Age in marbles from Proterozoic era. The cave is rich on calcite formations - stalactites, stalagmites, columns, lakes and pearls. There are archeological finds from the Aenolithic-Chalcolithic Age - ceramic vessels and ceramic workshop. The cave was declared natural landmark in 1980. Yagodinskata cave was provided with all utilities for visitors.
Ledenitsata or Lednitsata is a cave in the Westrn Rhodopes, near village of Gela. It was formed in marbles. The length of the cave is 1,500m and 146m deep. One could observe thresholds, waterfalls, lakes and a small river in the cave. It was declared for tourist landmark.
Kale near Mogilitza village in Smolyan municipality, Smolyan region is a protected territory aiming to preserve areas with characteristic landscape. It was declared protected zone on 2003 on an area of 3 hectares.

Dyavolskiyat Most (Devil's Bridge) with waterfall in Borino village, Borino municipality, Smolyan region spreads on a territory of 39.80 hectares. It was declared natural landmark in 1978 aiming to preserve rocky formations and a waterfall.
Duplevo Waterfall is a natural landmark on the region of Orehovo village, Chepelare municipality, Smolyan region. It spreads on a protected area of 50 hectares. The state forestry Hvoyna is taking care for preservation of the region.
Gradishte is a rocky formation in the region of Slaveyno village, Smolyan municipality, Smolyan region. It was declared natural landmark in 2003 on territory of 6.90 hectares.
Chudnite Mostove (Marvelous Bridges) - Er Kyupriya are rocky formations in a karst valley of Er Kyupriya River in the western Rhodopes. They are remnants from the ceiling of deep cave formed from erosion activity of the river in the marbles of Chernatitsa hill. They were declared natural landmark in 1949 aiming to preserve a natural stone bridge on a territory of 39.70 hectares.
Livadite (The Meadows) in Sivino village, Smolyan region is a natural deposit of Rhodope Lilly (Lilum rhodopaeum). Livadite were declared protected territory in 2003 on a territory of 1 hectare. The state forestry in Smolyan is taking care for preservation of the region.
Lyatnata Gora (Summer Forest) in Shiroka Laka village, Smolyan municipality, Smolyan region spreads on an area of 36.60 hectares. It was declared protected territory in 2003 aiming to preserve century-old spruce and elm-tree forest.

Pamporovo is a mountain resort from national importance situated on 1,600 m above sea level in the area with the same name in the western Rhodopes. Pamporovo is a beautiful hilly plateau with vast meadows and century old pine trees. Pamporovo is a modern and popular ski centre situated at the foot of Snezhanka Peak. There are ski lifts with capacity 7,000 men for one hour. The resort is only 18 km away from town of Smolyan.
