The aim is preservation of habitats of protected species like snowdrop, Martagon lily (Lilium martagon) and animals like: Hermann's Tortoises (Testudo hermanni), golden eagle, rocky formations and characteristic landscape. Sto Ovtzi has a protected territory of 289.90 hectares and was registered in 2005.

Ravnenskoto Gradishte is a territory with characteristic landscape in the region of the Ravna village, Chiprovtzi municipality, Montana region. Ravnenskoto Gradishte was declared protected territory in 2005 on an area of 186 hectares.

Ribarnitzi Orsoya is a protected territory established in 2001 on an area of 150.30 hectares. The aim was preservation and sustainability of the populations and habitats of endangered, rare and vulnerable animals and plant species habitats.
